Four of the dead were policemen, ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed said, Reuters reports. AFP An affiliate of the Islamic State group (IS) in the Sinai peninsula has said it carried out the attacks. Jihadists in the Sinai, who have pledged allegiance to IS, have killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers. The group also said it was behind the bombing a Russian passenger plane after it left the southern Sinai resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on 31 October, killing all 224 people on board.
