MOTIVATION AND MODIFICATION OF EDUCATION IN NIGERIA; BY HADIZA SADDIK MAHUTA!

Quality education is the pillar and backbone of every developing and developed society. Nigeria's educational system has been on the decline for the past few decades which has led to low quality of intellectual perception of the average Nigerian student. The level of quality education in southern Nigeria has been maintained to a certain degree whereas the educational system in the northern part of the country has been declining. Two institutions of learning process in northern Nigeria namely Katsina Middle school and Barewa Collage has produce most of the leaders that have governed Nigeria since independence, including President and Governors. It is due to such decline in the standard of our educational system that gives the need to focus on our institutions of learning process and revert them back to their former glory. To give credence to her "JUDICIAL BLOODLINE”, love for her country and future generation behind her, Hadiza Mahuta who graduated with a first class from the University of the West of England, Bristol in today’s world where competition in every facet of the education level is at it's peak, Nigerian Universities should show that they are up to the task. With hundreds of research facilities in Nigeria, we should be at the forefront of some of the most advanced and compelling research currently taking place on various areas in the world.
Prompted by personal experience, ieducationnigeria, a charity organization aims to:
- [x] Mentor students on the next step in their journey through education;
- [x] itutorials for students;
- [x] Encourage students to be proactive in research;
- [x] Encourage critical thinking to proffer solutions; and
- [x] Encourage public speaking -presentation skills.

My experience in Nigeria from Pre School to University and law school compared to my LLM post graduate program in the UK prompted the comparison of the Nigerian and British education sectors. The staggering difference is the lack of mentorship that exists in the Nigerian education system. Where as in the UK, soon after secondary school, students take the advantage of professional counselors and mentors guiding every step of the way in their education journey.

Therefore, Ieducationnigeria wants to start virtual counseling for students from secondary school to university level.
Another area ieducationnigeria wants to make a difference is additional/supplementary knowledge for students through virtual tutorial groups.
Research, public speaking via presentations and entrepreneurship should be encouraged in our educational sector. Ieducationnigeria helps to encourage students in that sector as well.

The modus operandi of all our work will be made available in due course. Before then, ieducationnigeria is born with a team of ten dedicated individuals willing to sacrifice and serve their country with all their strength.
